phantomheart

Sand Castles

You gathered flowers from the moon
Placed them in ivory baskets at the base
of my bed.
I gave you the fragrance of magnolia
and the skies the color of hibiscus
on a rainy day.

You wanted to live by the sea
make beautiful babies
write a novel.
I wanted to walk on the beach
taste salt spray on your lips
and drown in the ever changing oceans
of your eyes.

But the tides of life
washed away our sand castles,
and now, i try to forget dreams
and you....

But you brought me flowers
from the moon....

You brought me flowers
from the moon......
